Announcing the VRV Cargo Trailer

by vrvtrailer 29. May 2009 05:49

As our recreational interest grow and we are drawn to more and more equipment to help us enjoy these interest; we find ourselves in a difficult position.  How do we take our recreational equipment to our destinations in a useful, versatile and fuel-efficient vehicle that allows us to camp.  The answer is, the Vrv design.

Combining the cargo and toy-hauling attributes of a cargo trailer with the expandable square footage of our tip out, self-supporting bunks, the Vrv allows you haul all the equipment your family can use and still camp comfortably without having to incur the expense of  a larger, less fuel-efficient tow vehicle.  Another feature of our design is that it allows you carry all your recreational equipment and still stop for that quick night’s rest along the way without having to unload it and once you have reached your destination and have unloaded your equipment, you can enjoy all of the open floor space without having to work around traditional beds that restrict the use of this area.

Another thing you might want to consider.  If you own a smaller SUV, mini-van, or truck or you are considering downsizing to something smaller and more economical the Vrv can serve another useful purpose; that of a cargo trailer.  Nothing about the Vrv’s design, construction or weight will keep you from using it as a cargo trailer when that you find yourself in need of one.  Easy to maintain and clean the Vrv will not rust or rot if you need to wash it out after using it.  Without steel to rust or wood to rot it will last longer and protect your investment better than traditionally constructed trailers.

When you compare us against other RV designs toy-haulers you will find that:

  • We are lighter weight, more versatile, less expensive and easier to maintain than larger toy-hauling travel trailers and fifth wheels
  • We are as light weight and inexpensive, more versatile and longer lasting than pop-up campers
  • We are more comfortable, longer lasting, lighter weight and as inexpensive as comparably equipped steel and wood cargo trailers.

All of this means that you get more use with fewer concerns from your investment in both your recreational equipment and the trailer you use to move it.  Welcome to Vrv.

The Vrv models are probably the most wheel chair friendly and handicapped accessible toy haulers on the market.  Check them out.

My recommendation is the 5x10 1 bunk or the 6x14 1 bunk.  Both are lightwieght (under 1700 lbs.) and easy to tow.  They will accomodate 2 people easily and 1 full size dressed out bike.  However, the 7x16 and 8.5x16 will allow you to have a toilet / shower combination for under 2700 lbs.  It really depends on your tow vehicle and how much room you want in your living space.

Know the size of your vehicle towing capacity. A truck or truck should pull most of the trailers, while a car can only tow a size smaller. There will be very few trailers that a covenant will be able to throw.

True enough; towing capacity of your tow vehicle is probably the most important thing to consider for your safty and that of your passengers.  The Vrv models range from 1100 lbs. to 3700 lbs.; all half-ton towable and the 1100 lbs. 510 Sport is the smallest and lightest toy hauler that lets you get to your bed without unloading.  It may be the lightest toy hauler period.  I have a friend with a Honda Element pulling his.

Okay folks, we are annoucing a new model of the Vrv.  It is a 26ft long model that can be used not only as a toy hauler but also as a car hauler.  It will have the same accommodations as the 16' and 22' units but will grant an unbelievable 22' of cargo area.  What is even more unbelievable is that it will weigh less than 4,500 lbs.
It will also be available as a toy hauler with a separate living space with an addtional interior wall to separate the living area from the garage.  Kepp looking for updated photos.

Now the Vrv has a Queen Bed tip-out bunk.  This will give you more comfort and space than before.  So, let's look at the most recent features added to the Vrv.
- bathroom; toilet and shower combination inside, shower outside
- 4.4 c.f. refrigerator
- RV designed interior
- Queen size fold-out bed
All in the only true 1/2 ton towable toy hauler that gives you access to the beds without unloading your toys.

That's great! I've been looking for a new trailer for this summer! This solution sounds really great as it saves on gas. I will definitely look up your products and see if one fits my needs and my budget! Thanks!

We just got back from the ATV Mud Nationals in Texas last week.  Weight was a huge factor in the Vrv's success.  So many of the ATV enthusiast carry more than one unit; when you combine ATV weights with cargo and trailer weights in most cases that pushes over the tow limits of a half-ton tow vehicle, but not with a Vrv.  Our 822 Sport and Base Camp are only 3700 lbs.

Livin' Lite has been in the RV industry since 1971. In recent years, under the leadership of Scott Tuttle, their all-aluminum construction has won them recognition and accolades for the innovation that separates them from other RV manufacturers. This innovation is clearly seen in their Quicksilver line of all-aluminum campers and is the reason why they were the company to build the Vrv.

That's great, I never thought about Combining the cargo and toy-hauling attributes of a cargo trailer like that before.

That's a great solution to a problem I've had for a while--I've downsized my car, and hauling my old trailer has become difficult. This VRV thing seems to be the perfect alternative.

That's a great new product! No more need to use two cars to get the trailer and the boat to our campsite! Do you have a list of retailers in Washington State?
